RethinkKNX is a private home-automation system operated by Lukasz Jakobiec for a single household in Warsaw, Poland. These terms cover the people that household gives access to. Nothing here is offered to the general public.

Access

Accounts are created by the operator and may be changed or withdrawn at any time, for any reason. Keep your credentials to yourself: an account is for one person, and access to it is access to the house.

Use

Use the system for running and monitoring the household. Do not attempt to reach parts of it you have not been given access to, and do not connect other software to it without the operator's agreement.

It controls physical things

This software opens and closes windows and blinds, switches lights, heating and air conditioning, and unlocks a door. It is a hobby system: it can be wrong, offline, or mid-deployment. Do not rely on it for anything where failure would matter — not for security, not for safety, not for medical or heating needs. Always keep a manual way to do the same thing.

No warranty

The system is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind and no guarantee of availability, accuracy or fitness for any purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from its use or from its being unavailable.

Your content and your accounts

Data you put in, and any Google account you connect, remain yours. Disconnecting a Google account removes its stored credential immediately. How connected data is handled is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

These terms may change; the date above changes with them. Continuing to use the system after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

Polish law applies.
